Speech & Debate INtern

The Richmond Forum Speech & Debate Initiative is seeking a summer intern! We are now accepting applications for a dynamic and digitally fluent high school student who knows their way around videography and social media, and is well-versed in the world of speech and debate. Our intern will create engaging content to promote student participation in speech and debate and build awareness for the greater community. 

Candidates should be a current high school student with one to two years of experience in speech and/or debate competition. They should be proficient in content creation and digital media, and have a strong working knowledge of social media trends and functionality (particularly for TikTok and Instagram). The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an eye for detail, a skilled researcher, a creative problem solver, and a critical thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be available to work in our Shockoe Bottom office, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., July 28 – August 14, 2025.

Stipend: $450
